REGISTRATION COMPONENT 

What does “auto-refreshing school connected portal” mean and what are the advantages for us?  Other companies distribute information about your plan using a “snap-shot” of your student database usually taken during mid or late summer.  This information is outdated the day after it is created.  Health-eU Technology gathers this information on a daily basis and uses it to communicate with your students.  The day you know about a new student … so do we.  We use that information to deliver your plan requirement to them. 

How does Health-eU’s “Intelligent Registration Process” differ from other on-line enrollment services offered by other insurance companies?  Other companies simply offer “blind” or “dumb” internet-based enrollment.  When your student enters Health-eU secure servers, we already know who they are and exactly what requirements they need to satisfy.  They don’t need to answer a lot of questions up-front in order to determine their eligibility.  It is faster and easier for the student.

I know the Health-eU Technology does more than just managing our insurance waiver process, but what results could we expect by switching to Health-eU Technology from our current on-line enrollment service or a paper-based process?  A typical school running an insurance waiver process may end up enrolling over 40 percent of the population by default due to non-response.  Our clients have indicated the percentage was cut in half.  This resulted in far fewer complaints by student and parents for unwanted charges on their accounts, insurance ID cards get into the hands of students immediately and allows for better and faster communication.

How does Health-eU help the University cleanse their data and improve communications with our students?  Our experience shows that when insurance information is mailed to students that there are always a measurable number of addresses returned as undeliverable.  Health-eU Technology allows us to communicate with those students via the internet and request the correction of their mailing information.  The corrected information is passed back to the school for their use.

What is the difference between on-line enrollment and Health-eU’s On-line Registration?  Other companies offer on-line enrollment, which simply captures those students who come to the process and either purchase something or waive an insurance requirement.  Health-eU allows all students to create a Personal Account where they can return time after time to get information about insurance services, get claim status, communicate with university medical or administrative staff.

IMPACT ON STUDENT INSURANCE PROGRAMS 

How can Health-eU Technology lower our insurance premiums and yet increase our benefit levels, reducing our student out-of pocket expenses? How does Health-eU lower insurance cost associated with marketing and enrollment services provided by our current insurance vendor? Communication with constantly changing student populations can be targeted electronically, eliminating the need for mailings. The current insurance vendor would no longer need to market the students as Health-eU completes this task electronically and more accurately.  As a result, the current insurance vendor would be able to reduce their administrative and marketing costs which are typically passed on to the student.

IMPACT ON STUDENT SERVICES

How can Health-eU improve communication between students and Health Services?  Health-eU provides students with HIPAA secure communications between Health Services and Physicians in the Health-eU Friends program.  Encrypted messages requiring user ID and Password to access information is required in the secure messaging feature in Health-eU.

How can Health-eU help the Athletic Department gather insurance information and share that information with local physicians?  Health-eU captures all insurance data on the schools athletes as they register on line. As a result, this registration process allows coaches, trainers, and administrators to have real time insurance information about their athletes wherever their athletes travel.

How can International Affairs use Health-eU to streamline their insurance waiver process?  Health-eU provides the ability to capture data on the International students’ other insurance and determine whether the plan meets minimum standards.  International Offices often have a time consuming process that includes the need to validate a paper copy of students insurance.  Health-eU provides the on-line capability to simplify and automate this process for International Offices.

How can Student Affairs staff use Health-eU to monitor the insurance enrollment / waiver process?  Health-eU integrates with the schools administrative system to receive real time updates of student population data.  The school data allows for intelligent groupings of students to ensure they are offered the correct policy options without asking them any questions in the registration process.  This ensures clean data and accurate results.  The school has real time access to the enrollment data which ensures both the insurance agent and school have identical information.  Graphs and statistics provided in the reporting feature of Health-eU enhance this process.

COMMERCIAL INSURANCE BILLING COMPONENT

What is “Commercial Insurance Billing” and how can that generate revenues for the university?  The Commercial Billing feature in Health-eU allows for Health Services, Counseling, and the Athletic Department to bill the students’ non-school sponsored insurance for medical services provided.  Health-eU manages the entire process from Health Service credentialing to the processing of claims.

What is the difference between Commercial Insurance Billing through Health-eU and the services offered by other companies?  Health-eU captures the students’ non-school sponsored insurance for the entire student population upon registration.  A more comprehensive registration provides for accurate claims processing, stemming from the centralization of the entire health care process.
